OmeletYouFinish.com began with a simple observation: people enjoy breakfast, people enjoy travel, and the internet had somehow failed to combine those interests with a Kanye West reference.
The proposed site would document omelets encountered while traveling. Each breakfast would become a destination, each restaurant a cultural experience, and each plate of eggs another opportunity to justify purchasing the domain.
The domain was secured. The concept was preserved. Development, fortunately, did not begin.
Original Hypothesis
People love breakfast. People love travel. This obviously combines both.
What Went Wrong
Nothing technically went wrong. The idea simply encountered the rare but effective project-management technique known as thinking about it again.
Further review determined that maintaining an international omelet database might require more breakfast travel than the available budget could support.
Artifacts
- The registered domain name.
- The original omelet travel-blog concept.
- A joke that remained funny longer than the business plan.
- This exhibit, which technically means the domain eventually produced something.
