Summary
The Voice Analysis project moved from defining the artifact framework to using the framework on real research data.
This session validated that the artifact lifecycle can support reproducible research by converting existing Experiment 001 outputs into formal research artifacts.

The first chain focuses on the deadpan delivery observation originally identified during the Facebook Corpus experiment.

Key Finding
The Voice Analysis artifact model does not replace existing experiment research.
Instead, it provides a standardized way to preserve, reference, and extend previous research.
The distinction between experiment artifacts and formal research artifacts became clear:
Experiment artifacts preserve the history of a specific research activity.
Formal research artifacts provide reusable objects that can participate in future analysis.
Methodology Validation
The workflow successfully enforced several important boundaries:
- Observations describe patterns without explaining them.
- Evidence supports observations with traceable examples.
- Hypotheses explain patterns while remaining falsifiable.
- Validation attempts to challenge hypotheses rather than prove them.
Lessons Learned
The artifact framework exposed the importance of traceability.
A research conclusion should always be able to answer:
“Why do we believe this?”
The answer should lead through the artifact chain back to the original source material.
Future Work
Future Voice Analysis work should continue migrating existing research into the formal artifact model and use additional experiments to refine the methodology.
The next major research goal is expanding validation across additional time periods and writing formats before building a Voice Model.
