Household Items

Put towels and sheets in the laundry room
Take out all trash

Doors & Security

Ensure all 3 sliding glass doors are locked
Secure windows by making sure they are locked
Turn off all lights
Set the security alarm (if we get one)
Close the Hurricane Shutters for any length June-Nov
Close the Hurricane Shutters if leaving for 3+ days not in Hurricane Season

Kitchen & Refrigerator

Remove perishable food from the refrigerator and freezer
Empty the dishwasher
Open dishwasher and washing machine doors
Unplug small appliances (e.g., coffee maker, toaster, blender)

Cleaning Tasks

Clean the microwave
Clean the stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine
Run the food disposal for 30 seconds
Clean furniture

Bathroom & Storage

Open shower doors to allow air circulation
Open closet and cabinet doors

Additional Maintenance

Check smoke detectors to ensure they are operational
Check that no faucets are dripping or running
Store outdoor furniture or cushions indoors

Final Checks

Remove any personal items you don’t want left behind (e.g., toiletries, chargers)
Unplug electronics like TVs, lamps
Do a walk-through of each room to ensure nothing has been forgotten
Take a final photo of the condo to document its condition
